Tiny Moments #195

It’s my first ride since The Fall and although my ribs still hurt riding out of the saddle, this is a good excuse to shift down the gears and Take It Easy. The lanes are filthy with mud and gravel washed across everything by the recent incessant rains. At Columbjohn there is an expanse of brown water where the road should be.

It feels good to be out though, and I’m glad to have taken the time out to visit the marvellous maritime buoy baubles hanging from the best Christmas tree in Westwood. I meet the owner as I take a photograph and we chat briefly about beachcombing and the pleasure his tree must give to many people at this time of year. It feels good and not a little strange to be talking to someone other than a work colleague, my partner or the cats.
